Islamabad: The Central Development Working Party (CDWP) has approved three development projects totaling 11.714 billion rupees. The approval came during a meeting chaired by Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal. Additionally, the CDWP recommended two projects to the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) for further consideration.

According to Radio Pakistan, the approved projects include the establishment of a Medical and Nursing College in Gilgit at a cost exceeding 4.9 billion rupees, the creation of the National Defence University FCS Campus at the Defence Complex in Islamabad, valued at over 2.7 billion rupees, and the construction of a road from Zera to Daboori in District Orakzai, with a budget of more than four billion rupees.

The CDWP also forwarded two other significant projects to ECNEC. These include the Karachi Neighborhood Improvement Project, which has an estimated cost of over 19 billion rupees, and the construction of a Water Supply Scheme to Gwadar Town from Mirani Dam under the Balochistan Socio-Economic Development Projects Phase-III, worth 29 billion rupees.
