LAHORE: Capital City Police Officer Bilal Siddique Kamyana has instructed police to implement stringent security measures during the upcoming tri-nation cricket series featuring Pakistan, England, and Sri Lanka. Players, officials, and spectators are to receive comprehensive protection under these directives.
According to Directorate General Public Relations – Govt of Punjab, Kamyana emphasized the need for diligent performance from all officers and personnel during a recent meeting reviewing the Model Town and Cantt divisions’ performance. He stressed a zero-tolerance approach to kite flying, holding SHOs accountable for any violations within their jurisdictions.
In response to financial exploitation concerns, Kamyana ordered intensified actions against usury, advocating for firm measures against those involved. He also called for strategies to curtail theft and burglary, urging more effective field policing and intensified actions against criminal activities.
Kamyana further instructed officers to ensure respectful treatment of citizens visiting police offices, emphasizing the importance of resolving public complaints promptly. The meeting was attended by senior police officials, including DIG Investigation Zeeshan Raza and DIG Operations Faisal Kamran.
