Caretaker PM Kakar Affirms Commitment to Free and Fair Elections in Pakistan

Islamabad, In a recent TV interview, Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar emphasized the caretaker government’s dedication to ensuring free, fair, and transparent elections in Pakistan.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the Prime Minister assured full support to the Election Commission in all aspects, maintaining the caretaker setup’s impartiality.

PM Kakar expressed confidence in achieving the privatization goals of state-owned enterprises during the caretaker government’s tenure. He highlighted the significant challenge of achieving ‘economic health,’ stating that the country’s economy has now almost stabilized.

Addressing the situation in Gaza and the West Bank, PM Kakar remarked that the recent emergency meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation sent a strong, unanimous message for a ceasefire in Palestine. He condemned Israel’s actions as war crimes and crimes against humanity.

Regarding the repatriation of illegal Afghan immigrants, the Prime Minister clarified that there is no external pressure on the matter. He stated that while Afghan nationals are not banned from living in Pakistan, they must register with legal documents.
