Islamabad: A delegation from the Balochistan Assembly, including parliamentary leaders and provincial cabinet members, met with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar and Speaker of the National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq at the Parliament House on Monday. The meeting focused on strengthening coordination and strategic collaboration between the federal government and the Balochistan province to promote development, peace, and governance.
According to National Assembly of Pakistan, the federal leaders emphasized the importance of a united approach to advance Balochistan’s development and assured the delegation of continued federal support. The Balochistan representatives expressed satisfaction with the federal government’s initiatives and optimism about the ongoing development projects, highlighting their confidence in achieving long-term stability and prosperity in the region.
The delegation also praised the diplomatic achievements of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar, and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, particularly the signing of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding, which they regarded as a significant step toward regional peace.
Key figures at the meeting included Governor Balochistan Sheikh Jaffar Khan Mandokhail, Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti, and several provincial ministers and assembly members, who collectively voiced their commitment to working closely with the federal government to ensure the welfare and development of Balochistan.
