Islamabad: The Chief Minister of Balochistan, Sarfaraz Bugti, met with Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani in Islamabad to deliberate on the development and welfare of Balochistan. The discussions focused on socio-economic uplift, infrastructure, education, healthcare, and resource utilization in the province.
According to Senate of Pakistan, the Chairman Senate emphasized the Federation’s commitment to equitable development across provinces, with a special focus on Balochistan’s unique challenges. He reiterated the Upper House’s role in advocating for provincial autonomy and inclusive growth, viewing sustainable development in Balochistan as crucial for national cohesion.
The Chief Minister expressed appreciation for the Chairman Senate’s support and discussed ongoing development projects. He stressed the importance of coordination with federal institutions to accelerate progress. Senator Shahzaib Durrani also attended, contributing to discussions on legislative and policy measures for Balochistan’s needs.
