Islamabad, Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti, along with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi, met with representatives from the Jafaria Pilgrims Group Organizers Association to discuss improvements to pilgrim facilities at the Taftan border. The meeting focused on addressing the needs of pilgrims during Ashura and Arbaeen, with plans to increase immigration counters and enhance overall travel experiences.
According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, Chief Minister Bugti assured that the government is committed to solving the issues faced by pilgrims at the border promptly and will provide all necessary facilities. A significant proposal approved during the meeting was to operate Pakistan House Taftan on a public-private partnership basis, expected to improve the accommodation and services available to pilgrims. The delegation expressed gratitude for the government’s commitment to addressing their concerns effectively.
