Badgam March Expresses Solidarity with Palestine Amidst Israeli Aggression

Badgam, 13 Oct 2023: A solidarity march organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Anjuman Sharie Shian, a member of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference, unfolded today in the Badgam district of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, showcasing extensive support for Palestinians amid the recent and intense Israeli aggression they are facing. According to the Kashmir Media Service, participants from various walks of life joined the march, voicing their solidarity and shared grievance with the beleaguered people of Palestine, thereby reflecting a regional concern towards international affairs, particularly those pertaining to the plight of Muslims in conflict zones across the world.

During the event, Agha Syed Muntazir Mehdi, representing Anjuman Sharie Shian President Agha Syed Hassan Almoosvi Alsafvi, addressed the gathered crowd, elucidating, “We have gathered here as we felt the pain of oppressed Palestinians and express solidarity with people of Gaza.” His speech vehemently condemned the disinformation being disseminated against Palestinians, painting them as terrorists, and he labeled such efforts as a portion of a larger project aimed at dehumanizing Muslims and justifying Israel’s unlawful occupation of Al-Quds Sharif.

Agha Muntazir further advocated for international intervention, calling upon nations such as Iran and Saudi Arabia to urge the international community and bodies like the United Nations towards resolving the persistent and escalating Palestine issue. The march and its subsequent expressions of solidarity exemplify a tangible regional response to global events, highlighting the interconnectedness of international human rights issues and the consistent strife experienced by the residents of these afflicted areas.
