Islamabad: Assistant Director Safe City Abbas Mehdi convened a meeting with officers from the Capital Patrol Unit to discuss the integration of technology in policing efforts. According to Islamabad Capital Police, the meeting focused on enhancing crime prevention through the utilization of software systems used by the Islamabad Police.
During the meeting, officers were instructed to leverage these systems for effective crime control and to maintain vigilance over suspicious activities and individuals. The use of the Security Duty Management System was highlighted as a tool for the technical monitoring of personnel attendance and patrol activities, aimed at promoting accountability and professionalism.
Mehdi stressed the importance of digital tools in modern policing, emphasizing that real-time data and AI-based systems are crucial for identifying suspicious activities swiftly. He underscored that public trust is paramount for a successful police force, urging officers to uphold honesty, integrity, and professionalism in their duties.
