Sialkot: Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has sharply criticized the PTI Founder for allegedly transferring national funds into a personal account, a move he described as unprecedented. The statement comes in the wake of a decision in the 190 million pound case that has brought allegations of corruption to the forefront.
According to a statement by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Asif spoke to reporters in Sialkot, asserting that the funds in question were misappropriated under the guise of Al-Qadir University. He emphasized that the Al-Qadir Trust is not recognized by the Higher Education Commission, raising further concerns about the legitimacy of the transaction.
Asif stressed that the 190 million pounds are public funds belonging to the people of Pakistan. The Defence Minister’s remarks highlight ongoing political tensions and scrutiny over financial practices within the country’s leadership.
