APHC-AJK Pays Tribute to Martyred Resistance Leader Abdul Majeed Dar

Islamabad, On the occasion of the 21st martyrdom anniversary of the resistance leader Abdul Majeed Dar, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir (APHC-AJK) chapter, led by Altaf Ahmed Butt, has honored his memory and contributions to the Kashmir freedom movement. Abdul Majeed Dar, remembered for his significant role in the struggle, was martyred in 2003 by unknown attackers outside his residence in Sopore town.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Altaf Ahmed Butt commemorated Dar’s dedication to the Kashmiri cause in a statement issued in Islamabad. Butt emphasized that the sacrifices made by Kashmiri martyrs like Dar are pivotal to the freedom movement and vowed that these sacrifices would not be in vain. He also highlighted the resolve to achieve the mission for which countless lives have been lost.

In his statement, Butt also extended congratulations to the government and people of Pakistan on Pakistan Day and expressed gratitude for Pakistan’s unwavering support to the Kashmiris’ freedom struggle. He drew parallels between the ongoing movement in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) and the historical context of the Pakistan Movement, signified by the Pakistan Resolution of March 23, 1940.

The tribute to Abdul Majeed Dar not only honors his legacy but also reaffirms the enduring spirit of resistance against oppression and the pursuit of freedom in the face of adversity.
