APHC Accuses India of Aggression Against Kashmiris

Srinagar, The All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has accused India of subjecting the Kashmiri people to severe political, cultural, and economic oppression, alongside religious violence, stemming from their demands for the right to self-determination.

According to Kashmir Media Service, APHC spokesperson Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas stated in Srinagar that Kashmiris have consistently sacrificed for their political rights and will persist in their struggle for autonomy. He commemorated the legacy of liberation leader Ashfaq Majeed Wani, emphasizing that the unresolved status of Kashmir fuels ongoing violence in the region.

Minhas attributed the turmoil in Kashmir to the protracted nature of the conflict, calling for India to engage in meaningful dialogue with Pakistan and Kashmiri representatives to address the dispute in a manner that respects the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.

The APHC reiterated the significance of the Kashmir issue on the international stage, crediting the sacrifices of Kashmiri martyrs for this prominence. Minhas criticized the Indian BJP government’s efforts, led by Darakhshan Andrabi of the Waqf Board, to intrude into the religious affairs of Muslims in Kashmir, calling for unity to counter these actions.

He concluded by urging the United Nations and the international community to intervene in resolving the Kashmir conflict in line with UN resolutions and the wishes of its people.
