Anti-Encroachment Operation

Islamabad, January 31, 2023 (PPI-OT):CDA Chairman Capt. (Retd.) Noor-ul-Amin Mengal reviewed the ongoing works in CDA Islamabad and directed the DG Enforcement to remove the encroachments in the construction of IJP Road. In the light of the orders, DG Enforcement immediately called the revenue staff and reached the IJP Road with the anti-encroachment staff, where they monitored the process of marking the right-of-way of the road and placed traps on the encroachments on the road.

The encroachments will be removed by carrying out an operation soon so that the development work of the road continues without interruption. Similarly, operations were conducted on other areas of Islamabad in spite of rain in the light of orders, in which 4 trucks of goods were seized by demolishing several encroachments outside the plot line of Zia Masjid sector.

According to the details, the operation was started from Zia Masjid on Islamabad Express Highway, where hundreds of stalls were demolished and 4 truckloads of goods were seized with the help of district administration. Apart from this, encroachments outside the plot line in Sector G-9, in which additional sheds, gate iron fences, etc. were also taken, and dozens of encroachment outside the houses on Neelum Road were demolished.

Apart from this, some factory owners in Mauza Hamak Islamabad were throwing garbage in Darya Swan, they were issued written notices under CDA Ordinance 1960 Martial Law Regulation No. 63 and Environmental Protection Act 2008. Path of the vehicles bringing waste with heavy machinery was blocked by making pits with excavators. Acting on the report of illegal constructions near Terlai Extension where Plot No. 4 is located near Jaba Teli area, the attempt to take possession was foiled by demolishing the constructions.
