Ottawa, In what is believed to be another case of targeted killing, a 28-year-old man from Ludhiana, Indian Punjab, was shot dead in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada.
According to Kashmir Media Service, Yuvraj Goel, an only child, was gunned down in the parking lot of his residence, leaving his family devastated. Yuvraj was returning from the gym and was on the phone with his mother when he arrived at the parking lot. After disconnecting the call, he was approached by an individual who asked if he lived in the building. When Yuvraj replied “yes”, the assailant fired six bullets, killing him on the spot.
Police officials said that the phone recording of the conversation between Yuvraj and his mother helped them piece together the events surrounding the crime. The investigation is ongoing. Yuvraj’s family is struggling to come to terms with the loss, and his parents are too distraught to speak.
