Peshawar: The Anti Narcotics Force has dismantled a significant drug trafficking network in Peshawar, arresting multiple suspects and seizing a large quantity of drugs that were being transported using courier services. The operation has uncovered a complex scheme that involved the distribution of various narcotics across different cities.

Authorities arrested a suspect from Nowshera who had booked 11 parcels filled with drugs. The intercepted shipments contained 5.7 kilograms of hashish, 200 grams of crystal meth, 120 ecstasy pills, 150 grams of opium, along with counterfeit currency valued at Rs. 100,000 and a 30-bore pistol.

In a separate operation, three individuals were apprehended near Haji Camp in Peshawar. The suspects were found in possession of 2 kilograms of hashish. Interrogations have revealed their involvement in inter-provincial drug trafficking activities.

Investigations indicate that the accused sourced drugs from bara and neighboring regions, employing courier services to facilitate the smuggling operations. This method highlights the growing trend of digital drug trafficking, raising concerns about its implications for national security.

Authorities have registered cases against the suspects under the anti-narcotics act and have commenced formal investigations to fully expose the network’s operations. Efforts are ongoing to understand the complete scope and reach of this illegal trade.
