Jammu: Exposing the claims of infrastructure development by the Indian government, Saifullah Mir, a National Conference assembly member, stated that facilities in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) surpass those in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
According to a statement by Kashmir Media Service, Mir made these remarks during supplementary questions in the IIOJK Assembly’s question hour. He compared the Keran regions on both sides of the Line of Control, highlighting that the facilities available in AJK’s Keran are significantly better than those in the Kupwara district’s Keran area in IIOJK.
The remarks sparked a reaction from BJP legislator RS Pathania, who called for the statement to be removed from the assembly records.
