ISLAMABAD: Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) Special Branch Muhammad Sarfraz Virk met with the family of martyred Constable Afzal Janan of Islamabad Police, following directives from Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi. The visit aimed to honor the sacrifice of Constable Janan and assure his family of the continued support from the police force.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, during the visit, AIG Virk offered prayers for Constable Janan’s soul and inquired about the family’s well-being. He paid tribute to the constable’s bravery, emphasizing that the sacrifices made by police martyrs are invaluable to the nation. “The martyrs of Islamabad Police are the pride of the nation,” he stated.
AIG Virk reiterated the commitment of Islamabad Police to support the families of those who have sacrificed their lives in the line of duty. He assured the martyr’s family of the police’s unwavering support and emphasized that all available resources would be utilized for their welfare. The services and sacrifice of Constable Janan, he noted, will remain a guiding light for future generations.
The visit is part of a broader initiative by IGP Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, to maintain regular contact with the families of police martyrs, ensuring they are not left alone and receive necessary assistance.
