Ahsan Iqbal Engages with NASA and US Aerospace Firms to Boost Pakistan’s Space Vision

Houston: Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal engaged in significant meetings with officials from NASA and leading US aerospace companies in Houston, focusing on advancing Pakistan’s space ambitions and creating educational opportunities for young Pakistanis. According to Radio Pakistan, the discussions centered on promoting space education and scientific research, with the intent to harness the potential of Pakistan’s youth in the science and technology sectors.

Ahsan Iqbal announced that the Government of Pakistan is formulating a national space education program aimed at fostering curiosity and innovation among the country’s youth. This initiative includes the proposed establishment of a Space Exploration Centre in Narowal, designed to introduce young people to scientific research and inspire future scientists and researchers.

The Minister emphasized the importance of training and mentorship for young Pakistani engineers and IT professionals, who he believes can play a significant role in the global space industry. He extended an invitation to American aerospace companies to establish development centers in Pakistan, highlighting the country’s talented young workforce as an asset.

Iqbal also noted the interest shown by NASA and the US aerospace industry in collaborating with Pakistan, indicating a potential new chapter in scientific and technological partnership. He underscored the importance of leveraging NASA’s expertise and training programs to enhance Pakistan’s capabilities in space science and technology.
