Islamabad: Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal has instructed officials to accelerate the formulation of proposals focused on fiscal reforms and the rapid execution of development projects in Gilgit-Baltistan. These directives were issued during a meeting of the Prime Minister’s Review Committee.
According to Radio Pakistan, Iqbal supported the creation of a financial framework based on the National Finance Commission (NFC) for both Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir. The meeting underscored the importance of developing a structured approach to fiscal policies to facilitate growth and development in these regions.
