Islamabad Police Departmental Promotion Committee Reviews Officer Promotions


ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad police held a series of Departmental Promotion Committee meetings to evaluate the promotion eligibility of officers, following the directives of Inspector General of Police, Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi. The meetings, conducted at the police lines headquarters, were aimed at assessing the service records of officers for promotion to vacant positions.



According to Islamabad Capital Police, the meetings were chaired by Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) Logistics Abdul Haq Umrani. Present at the meetings were DSP Headquarters Shams Ud Deen and other committee members who reviewed the service records of police officers. The committee forwarded its promotion recommendations to IGP Islamabad, and upon his approval, formal notifications for promotions will be issued.



AIG Logistics emphasized that the promotion of officers is a fundamental right, noting that all officers who have successfully completed the departmental promotion courses will be promoted based on their seniority to fill the vacant positions. A ranking ceremony is planned where officers who receive promotions will be acknowledged, with their families invited to join the celebration. AIG Logistics reiterated that the welfare of the police force is a top priority.
