27-year-old labourer lynched by cow vigilantes 

New Delhi, April 13, 2022 (PPI-OT):A 27-year-old man, Raja Ram, who was working as a caretaker at a farmhouse, in New Delhi died moments after being beaten by a Hindutva mob on “suspicion” of slaughtering cows. Two of Raja Ram’s friends were also assaulted by the mob and are undergoing treatment. The deceased was working as a caretaker at a farmhouse near Dwarka area of New Delhi where two others, who received injuries, were employed as workers.

The assailants identified themselves as “gau rakshaks (cow vigilantes)”, according to the FIR lodged by the survivors. Delhi Police said two FIRs have been filed in the case and five of the accused were arrested from the spot. The second FIR was against the trio including the deceased over cow slaughtering.
