27 Pakistanis to Depart Uganda Amid Visa Issues

Kampala: 27 Pakistanis are preparing to leave Uganda and return to Pakistan, according to Foreign Office Spokesperson Tahir Andrabi. This development comes amidst ongoing discussions regarding Pakistanis detained in Kampala.

According to Radio Pakistan, Andrabi highlighted that around 30 additional Pakistanis are planning to secure air tickets soon. The spokesperson also noted that others currently on visit visas will eventually depart as well. The situation arose after immigration authorities imposed financial penalties on the detained individuals. However, the Pakistani Embassy is engaged in talks with Ugandan officials to seek a waiver of these fines.
