19 July resolution marks Kashmiris’ unconditional love for Pakistan: Saghar

Islamabad, July 18, 2023 (PPI-OT): The convener All Parties Hurriyat Conference AJK chapter, Mehmood Ahmed Saghar, has said the 19th July resolution marks the Kashmiris’ unconditional love for Pakistan when on this day in 1947 they decided to link their future with Pakistan. In a statement issued in Islamabad, today, Saghar said that this day had also assumed great significance in the history of Kashmir because the historic resolution was adopted a month before the creation of Pakistan and India under the Partition Plan on August 14 and 15 respectively.

“This was the reason that the 14th August, the day when Pakistan came into being as a sovereign independent state, was celebrated throughout Jammu and Kashmir with great fanfare”, he said, adding that it was an undeniable fact that Jammu and Kashmir was geographically, historically and culturally and ethnically linked to the state of Pakistan. Referring to the Kashmiris’ matchless sacrifices, he said that the people of Kashmir have rendered matchless sacrifices to achieve the cherished goal of freedom. Reiterating Kashmiris’ pledge to take the ongoing liberation movement to its logical conclusion, the APHC convener said that, “Kashmiri people will never give up to Indian state repression”.

Meanwhile, APHC-AJK leaders Mushtaq Ahmed Butt and Uzair Ahmad Ghazali in their statements said that the Kashmiri people were giving unprecedented sacrifices for the implementation of the resolution passed on July 19, 1947 based on accession to Pakistan. They said that Kashmiris consider Pakistan as their homeland and they always pray for its stability, strength and prosperity.
