Islamabad, November 29, 2022 (PPI-OT):Zonal Sighting of the Crescent Committees should be established in Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan and websites containing distorted versions of the Holy Quran and content against the end of Prophethood and Honorable Prophethood should be blocked.
These instructions were given by the Standing Committee of the National Assembly for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony in its meeting. The meeting of Majlis Qaima was held under the chairmanship of Chairman of Majlis Qaima and Member National Assembly Honorable Syed Imran Ahmed Shah.
Majlis-e-Qaima was informed that there is a central Sighting Crescent Committee across the country while zonal Sighting Crescent Committees are also established in all four provinces including Islamabad. Apart from this, Royat Hilal Committees have also been established at each district level. The Majlis-e-Qaima directed that zonal Sighting Crescent Committees should be established in Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan as well.
In the same way, Royat Hilal Committees should be established at the level of each district. On this occasion, Chairman Syed Imran Shah said that the government is a scholar Also steps should be taken to establish the Muttahida Ruyat Hilal Committee of Islam so that the Muslim Ummah can hold its religious festivals together with certainty.
The Majlis Qaima was informed that the Lahore High Court has ordered in one of its decisions that the websites containing distorted versions of the Holy Quran and content against the end of Prophethood and Honorable Prophethood and respect for other religious sanctities should be blocked, but for several months.
Despite the passage, the relevant institutions are unable to implement it. The Majlis Qaima took strict notice of this issue and ordered that websites containing distorted versions of the Holy Qur’an and content contrary to respect for the end of Prophethood and Honorable Prophethood and other religious sanctities should be blocked immediately.
On this occasion, the Majlis-e-Qaima also formed a sub-committee under the chairmanship of Madam Shafuta Jumani, which will ensure the implementation of all the recommendations and instructions made by the committee.
