Ziarat’s Deputy Commissioner Calls for Increased Accountability and Protection of Agricultural and Forest Resources

Ziarat, Deputy Commissioner Liaquat Ali Kakar led an introductory meeting with departmental officers in Ziarat, focusing on enhancing administrative efficiency and safeguarding natural and agricultural resources vital to the local community. The meeting highlighted the need for strict adherence to duty and the proactive resolution of agricultural and forestry issues.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, the session served as a platform for department heads to brief Deputy Commissioner Kakar on their current operations and challenges. Emphasizing the importance of presence and accountability, Kakar directed officers to ensure their availability at their assigned locations and manage their staff effectively. He stressed that negligence in governmental duties would not be tolerated, particularly highlighting the illegal deforestation of cypress trees, a practice he vowed to eliminate through stringent action.

The agricultural dependency of Ziarat’s populace was a key discussion point, with specific directives aimed at the Livestock Department to prioritize the needs of farmers and livestock owners. Kakar urged all officers to adopt a service-oriented approach, work collaboratively, and engage directly with the community to address their issues promptly and effectively.
