Ziarat District Reviews Progress in Anti-Polio Campaign

Ziarat: In a significant step towards eradicating polio, a meeting of monitoring officers and field supervisors was convened in Ziarat district to assess the ongoing anti-polio campaign. The meeting, chaired by Deputy Commissioner Ziarat Liaqat Ali Kakar, took place in the office of AC Sanjawi and included key health officials and World Health Organization representatives.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, the gathering was attended by Assistant Commissioner Sanjavi Sher Shah, District Health Officer Ziarat Dr. Sanaullah, WHO Dr. Shahbaz Khan, and monitoring officers from the health department. The primary focus of the meeting was to review the current anti-polio efforts in the district and enhance the strategies in place to ensure no child under the age of five is missed during the door-to-door campaign.

Deputy Commissioner Liaqat Ali Kakar emphasized the success of the ongoing campaign and the strict security measures provided to polio teams. He highlighted the collective responsibility to make the anti-polio drive successful and urged the workers to be diligent in reaching every child. Kakar also stated that the campaign is of national importance and that negligence or laziness will not be tolerated in the efforts to eradicate the disease.

The meeting underscores the commitment of Ziarat’s health authorities to combat polio and ensure the safety and health of the district’s youngest residents.
