Ziarat, During a surprise visit to the District Headquarters Hospital in Ziarat, Deputy Commissioner Liaqat Ali Kakar identified significant staff absences among doctors and support staff, prompting immediate administrative responses to ensure accountability and improve hospital conditions.
According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, the visit, which was intended to inspect the hospital’s operations, revealed that only one out of five doctors was present, with four absent without prior notice. Additionally, two out of seven paramedics were missing, and no staff was present in the medicine store at the time of the inspection. Deputy Commissioner Kakar expressed serious concerns over these absences and announced that legal actions, including salary deductions and potential dismissal, would be pursued against those who were absent.
Kakar has instructed the hospital administration to enhance the sanitation systems immediately, emphasizing the importance of providing a clean and healthy environment for patients. These directives aim to prevent future negligence and improve the overall care and service provided at the hospital.
