Jammu: The Yuva Rajput Sabha (YRS) in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir has taken to the streets of Jammu city, demanding the restoration of political and fundamental rights for the region’s residents. The protest aims to pressure the Indian government to fulfill its commitments, including the reinstatement of statehood and the safeguarding of political freedoms.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the demonstration was led by YRS President Vikram Singh Vicky, who called for the local political parties and organizations to consolidate their efforts to address these grievances. Singh emphasized the urgency of integrating these issues into the political agendas of all parties, particularly in the context of upcoming elections.
The protestors also voiced their discontent with the policies implemented by the Modi government since August 2019, which they claim have significantly undermined the region’s autonomy and welfare. In a bold move, the Yuva Rajput Sabha has given an ultimatum to the Indian government, threatening to escalate their actions into a more vigorous agitation if their demands are not met within the next month.
