Yusuf Mir’s shifting to Kot Bhalwal jail in another false case condemned 

Srinagar, November 14, 2021 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Acting Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Muslim League (JKML), Abdul Ahad Parra has strongly condemned the shifting of party’s vice chairman, Mohammad Yusuf Mir to Kot Bhalwal jail, Jammu, in another false case.

Abdul Ahad Parra in a statement issued in Srinagar said that that Muhammad Yousuf Mir had been languishing in jails for last five years. He added that during the period, the authorities slapped draconian law, Public Safety Act (PSA) twice on him but the court quashed his detention under PSA and ordered his release. He lamented that despite the court orders, instead of releasing him, he is being involved in false cases, which is an open violation of human rights.

He demanded release of all illegally detained Hurriyat leaders and activists, including APHC Chairman, Masarat Alam Butt, Shabbir Ahmed Shah, Mohammad Yasin Malik, Muhammad Yusuf Mir, Aasiya Andrabi, Pir Saifullah, Altaf Ahmed Shah, Ayaz Akbar, Mirajuddin Kalwal, Pir Saifullah, Shahid-ul-Islam, Mohammad Rafiq Ganai, Dr Qasim Fakhtoo, Dr Mohammad Shafi Shariati, Shaukat Hakeem, Mohammad Hayat Butt, Merajuddin Nanda, Farooq Ahmed Dar, Mohammad Yusuf Falahi, Asadullah Parray, Naheeda Nasreen, Fahmida Sufi and hundreds of Hurriyat activists.

He also appealed to the United Nations Secretary General, António Guterres and international human rights organizations to pay all the hurriyatives to play their role in release of all illegally detained Kashmiri Hurriyat leaders and activists.
