Islamabad: The government is determined to integrate youth into national decision-making processes, as announced by Rana Mashhood Khan, Chairman of the Prime Minister Youth Program. In a recent news conference, Khan emphasized the government’s commitment to making young people active partners in shaping the country’s future.
According to a statement by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Khan highlighted that the members of the Prime Minister Advisory Youth Council were selected on a merit basis. This initiative aims to empower the youth and encourage their participation across various sectors.
Khan also announced the forthcoming introduction of the National Youth Employment Policy, designed to tackle youth unemployment issues. This policy is expected to provide strategic solutions to enhance employment opportunities for young people.
Highlighting Pakistan’s improved investment climate, Khan credited the government’s policies for changing perceptions and attracting international interest. He pointed out that the upcoming Commonwealth Asia Youth Summit, hosted by Pakistan, will see youth leaders and delegates from twelve countries convening to discuss empowerment, education, and skills development.
