Srinagar: A young man was arrested by Indian security forces in Pulwama district of the region known as Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir, during a cordon and search operation.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the individual, identified as Sajad Ahmed Dar, was detained in the Tahab area of Pulwama. The security forces allege that Dar was an overground worker for a mujahid organization, claiming that arms and ammunition were found in his possession at the time of his arrest.
The arrest is part of ongoing operations by Indian troops in the region, which have frequently been criticized by local and international groups over human rights concerns.
