Srinagar, July 22, 2022 (PPI-OT):In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Hurriyat leader and chief of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front, Muhammad Yasin Malik, who is currently lodged in New Delhi’s Tihar Jail after being sentenced to life imprisonment by an Indian court in false cases registered against him, has announced a hunger strike until death, his family said on Friday.
Sharing Yasin Malik’s letter announcing the fast unto death from July 22 in Tihar Jail against the injustice being meted out to him by the Indian courts, the JKLF Media Cell tweeted a video of Malik’s sister and mother narrating what the incarcerated Hurriyat leader has mentioned in the letter.
“Yasin Malik said to his mother I made deal with Allah and His Prophet (PBUH), pray for me. He said I will remain on hunger strike as long as I am alive. He further said to his mother, you are now in consign of Allah and his Prophet (PBUH), and me also,” the tweet read.
Citing Yasin Malik’s letter, the sister of the JKLF chief said, “why is he not being called to court for questioning like every other prisoner, and if they can call people from outside for questing why not me.” Yasin Malik’s letter was also shared on Twitter by his wife Mushaal Hussein Mullick. “He has left his case to God Almighty; this world doesn’t belong to Kashmiris Stand4YasinMalik,” she tweeted.
