According to a news release by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, World Polio Day not only amplifies the necessity of polio vaccination but also celebrates the relentless endeavors made globally towards a polio-free future. It salutes the unwavering dedication of front-line workers committed to wiping out this disease worldwide.
Speaker of the National Assembly, Raja Pervez Ashraf, in his message marking the occasion, passionately appealed to parents to ensure the completion of the polio vaccination regimen for their children. Highlighting the present scenario, he pointed out that only four nations, including Pakistan, still grapple with the presence of the polio virus.
