Islamabad: Today marks the observance of World Heart Day, dedicated to raising awareness about the prevention and control of cardiovascular diseases, which include heart disease and stroke. This year’s theme, “Use Heart for Action,” emphasizes proactive measures to combat the world’s leading cause of death.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, cardiovascular diseases claim over 17.5 million lives annually worldwide. The theme encourages individuals and communities to take informed actions to reduce their risk factors associated with heart diseases and strokes.
