World Food Day Observed with Focus on ‘Right to Food’


Islamabad: World Food Day is being observed today under the theme “Right to food for a better life and a better future,” highlighting the global commitment to ensuring food security and sustainable agriculture practices. In a message marking this significant day, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reaffirmed the government’s dedication to enhancing the agricultural sector and supporting the food processing industry, especially among small and medium enterprises.



According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Prime Minister Sharif emphasized the administration’s focus on implementing policies that foster innovation, sustainability, and modernization within the farming sector. These initiatives aim to empower farmers and increase the productivity and sustainability of food resources in Pakistan.



The Prime Minister also underscored the significance of World Food Day as a reminder of the collective responsibility to secure food security for all citizens, aligning with global efforts to improve living conditions and ensure a prosperous future for upcoming generations.
