Women’s Parliamentary Caucus Reaffirms Commitment to Gender Equality


Islamabad: MPA Sindh, Ms. Shaheena Sher Ali Baloch, met with the Secretary Women’s Parliamentary Caucus (WPC), Dr. Shahida Rehmani, MNA, at the Parliament House, where they discussed ongoing efforts to advance gender equality and empower women. Dr. Rehmani highlighted the establishment of women’s parliamentary caucuses at the provincial level as a key achievement and pledged continued support for these initiatives.



According to National Assembly of Pakistan, Dr. Rehmani praised the Sindh Assembly for its legislative actions, including the Child Marriage Restraint Act and laws addressing domestic violence, which represent significant progress in protecting women’s rights. She emphasized the need for increased coordination between the WPC of Sindh Assembly and the National Assembly to ensure comprehensive empowerment efforts are implemented nationwide.



Dr. Rehmani reiterated the WPC’s dedication to promoting women’s well-being across Pakistan, underscoring the importance of collaborative efforts to address the challenges faced by women throughout the country.
