Lahore: The National Women’s selection committee has announced a 15-member squad for the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup qualifiers, set to take place in Lahore from April 9 to 19. The matches will be held at Gaddafi Stadium and the Lahore City Cricket Association grounds.
Fatima Sana has been appointed as the captain of the team, with Muniba Ali serving as vice-captain. The player support staff includes manager Hina Munawar and head coach Muhammad Wasim.
The ICC event will feature six teams: Pakistan, Bangladesh, Ireland, Scotland, Thailand, and the West Indies. The tournament will follow a single-league round-robin format.
A total of 15 matches will be played across the two venues in Lahore. The top teams from this qualifier will earn a spot in the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup.
