ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Police have dismantled an organized women-led burglary gang and recovered significant valuables, marking a major step forward in their ongoing crackdown on criminal activities in the capital. This operation comes under the directives of Inspector General of Police Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi.
The Sumbal Police, employing both technical and human intelligence, arrested two women identified as Asia Bibi and Parveen. The operation resulted in the recovery of gold ornaments, local and foreign currency, and prize bonds from the suspects.
Deputy Inspector General of Police Islamabad, Muhammad Jawad Tariq, emphasized that the police force is committed to safeguarding the lives and property of citizens. He assured that no criminal activity will be tolerated and that efforts will continue to maintain public peace.
Tariq also appealed to the community for cooperation, urging residents to report any suspicious activities or objects to local police stations or the emergency helpline “Pucar-15” without delay. The arrests mark a significant achievement in the police’s efforts to combat crime and ensure public safety.
