Srinagar, May 31, 2022 (PPI-OT):A woman teacher from Samba was shot dead by unidentified gunmen inside a school in Gopalpora area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Tuesday. The attackers opened fire on the woman teacher at High School Gopalpora Kulgam, leaving her critically wounded.

She was immediately shifted to district hospital Kulgam where doctors declared her brought dead. The slain teacher has been identified as Rajni, wife of Raj Kumar of Samba district of Jammu region. Soon after the incident, Indian troops and police cordoned off the area to nab the attackers.

Meanwhile, Kashmiri Pandit employees posted in the Kashmir Valley hit the streets at various places to protest the killing of the woman teacher. The Pandit employees staged protest demonstrations in Lal Chowk and Batwara areas of Srinagar and in South Kashmir’s Qazigund town. They raised slogans against the authorities for their failure to ensure fool proof security for the employees belonging to the community.
