Wildlife Department Workers Protest in Srinagar: Demand Job Regularization

Srinagar: In a demonstration reflecting discontent with the Indian government’s policies in Jammu and Kashmir, casual laborers from the Wildlife Department gathered in Srinagar to demand the regularization of their positions.

According to a statement by Kashmir Media Service, the protestors chanted slogans urging the authorities to address their longstanding demands. They have been advocating for job security and fair wages, which they claim have been neglected for years.

The workers expressed frustration over the lack of action from the government, despite numerous appeals. They emphasized the importance of their role in safeguarding Kashmir’s wildlife while highlighting the uncertainty of their own employment. One protester noted the irony of their situation, calling for permanent employment to secure their livelihoods.

The protestors warned that they would escalate their efforts if their demands continued to be ignored.
