Wife of Indian CRPF Soldier Found Dead with Throat Slit in Odisha


Bhubaneswar, The wife of an Indian Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) soldier was found dead with her throat slit in Odisha’s Nayagarh district.



According to Kashmir Media Service, the incident took place at Kotanisila in the Rajsunakhala area of Nayagarh district. The deceased, identified as Namita Dehuri, was the wife of a CRPF jawan. She was staying alone at the house while her husband and three children lived elsewhere.



Local authorities suspect that some miscreants barged into her house and killed her. Locals discovered Namita lying in a pool of blood and informed the police. Upon receiving the information, the police seized the body and sent it for a postmortem examination. Although the exact reason behind the killing is yet to be determined, the police have detained two youths from the village in connection with the case.
