Ranchi, July 18, 2022 (PPI-OT): A woman stabbed her husband to death as she was stopped from wearing jeans after marriage in Indian state Jharkhand. The incident has been reported from Jorbhitha village under Jamtara police station limits of the state.

The victim, identified as Pushpa Hembrom, went to see a fair in Gopalpur village wearing jeans. When she returned home, the couple had a heated exchange over her attire and questioned her as to why she wore the jeans after her marriage.

The wife comments of the husband led to an argument and, in a fit of rage, Pushpa attacked her husband with a knife, leaving the victim grievously injured. The family members of the victim immediately rushed him to Dhanbad PMCH but he died. The father of the deceased, Karneshwar Tudu, said that there was a dispute between his son and daughter-in-law over wearing jeans. “The wife stabbed her husband to death during the fight,” he said.

Meanwhile, a man raped his 13-year-old daughter in Fatehpur city in the state of Uttar Pradesh. The incident took place when the mother was sowing paddy in a farm field, and her husband who was in the house, took their 13-year-old daughter on the roof, and allegedly raped her. A wife has registered a case against her 45-year-old husband for allegedly raping their daughter, police said. He added that the girl has been sent for medical examination.
