Widespread Arrests in Kathua Raise Concerns Over Increased Military Operations

Srinagar: Indian troops have detained over fifty individuals in a series of cordon and search operations across Kathua district in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, escalating tensions in the region.

According to Kashmir Media Service, these arrests were carried out amidst extensive military operations that also spanned the districts of Udhampur, Doda, Rajouri, Poonch, Samba, and Bhaderwah. The operations, involving the Indian army, paramilitary, and police forces, have instilled a pervasive atmosphere of fear among the local communities.
