Srinagar, December 21, 2021 (PPI-OT):Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) while expressing its complete solidarity with PDD employees has said that the Indian government’s bid to privatize the Power Development Department is yet another conspiracy to deprive Kashmiris of their jobs.

In a statement issued in Srinagar on Tuesday, DFP spokesman advocate Arshad Iqbal said that after abrogation of the Articles 370 and 35-A the BJP regime has now started implementing its neo-colonial agenda to control all of Kashmir, its land, waters and other resources by hook or by crook. Iqbal said that the real motive behind the so-called privatization is the wholesale loot and plunder of Kashmiris’ natural resources.

Referring to the BJP regime’s criminal mind set, the spokesman said that since 5th August 2019 the BJP took several steps that have exceedingly undermined the very interests of Kashmiri people. “The illegal auction of sand mining to non-state subjects, regulations for use of agriculture land for non-agriculture purposes and now privatization of the PDD speak volumes about the incumbent apartheid regime’s prejudice against Kashmiris”, he said.

Expressing his party’s concern over the Delimitation Commission’s report he said, “Creating six new assembly constituencies in Jammu and only 1 in Kashmir valley amply demonstrates the BJP’s dangerous game plan aimed at minimizing the role of majority population in the electoral politics”. Meanwhile, the DFP spokesman took strong exception to the continued violence and bloodshed of innocent youth at the hands of the Indian occupation forces in the occupied territory.
