WHO Partners with Pakistan to Enhance Universal Health Coverage

ISLAMABAD, The World Health Organization (WHO) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Pakistan to bolster the country’s Universal Health Coverage Program. The signing ceremony, witnessed by Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar ul Haq Kakar, marks a significant step towards enhancing healthcare accessibility in Pakistan.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the WHO’s commitment under the MoU includes providing equipment, ambulances, and refurbishing healthcare facilities, including primary and secondary healthcare centers and mobile units. This initiative aims to extend primary healthcare services to over ninety percent of the population, enhancing healthcare availability across Pakistan.
