Gwadar: A welcome party was held for first-year students at Government Syed Zahoor Shah Hashmi Degree College Gwadar, with Member Provincial Assembly Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman as the chief guest and college principal Prof. Naseer Ahmed presiding over the event. MPA Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman emphasized the importance of education and hard work, urging students to minimize distractions and focus on their studies to become talented and skilled individuals. He highlighted that self-confidence and courage are essential for the youth, who are key to the area’s development.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman advised students to ensure regular attendance and warned that without talent and hard work, their issues might not garner attention from authorities. Principal Prof. Naseer Ahmed addressed the issue of absenteeism, identifying it as the college’s biggest challenge, and announced that strict measures would be taken against students who fail to attend classes regularly. He expressed a commitment to fostering an educational environment that encourages students’ enthusiasm for learning.

The event concluded with the presentation of souvenirs to MPA Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman, Gwadar Press Club President Sharif Ibrahim, and former President Suleman Hashim. Professor Irshad Alam presided over the welcome party, which also featured the inauguration of the college’s new library by MPA Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rehman.
