Weekly Police Parade Held Across Punjab on IG’s Directions


LAHORE: On the directions of Inspector General Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, a weekly general parade was conducted across the province, including in Lahore. Senior police officers inspected the parade, where contingents presented a formal salute.



In a display of discipline and unity, participants from various police units, including the Police Lines, Dolphin Force, Anti-Riot Force, Traffic Police, Mujahid Squad, SPU, Ladies Police, OCU, and both the Investigation and Operation Wings, took part in the event. The senior officers closely monitored the turnout of the officers and personnel.



The parade included a march past by alert and well-prepared contingents, with female personnel actively participating. General parades are scheduled every Monday throughout the province, ensuring regular engagement and oversight.



Dr. Usman Anwar highlighted the parade’s role in keeping personnel alert and fostering an atmosphere of discipline and brotherhood. He noted that such events are essential for maintaining the fitness and discipline of the force, while also reflecting the rich history and tradition of the police service. District officers took the opportunity to inspect various departments, including armories and motor transport wings, to ensure operational readiness.
