Lahore: On the directions of Inspector General of Police Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, weekly general parades were conducted across the province, with senior police officers inspecting the events and marching squads presenting salutes.
Personnel and officers from various divisions, including Police Lines, Dolphin Force, Anti-Riot Force, Traffic Police, Mujahid Squad, SPU, Lady Police, OCU, Investigation, and Operations Wings participated in the parades. Senior officers were on hand to check the turnout of the participating officers and personnel.
The parades, held every Monday, featured well-trained squads performing a march-past, with female personnel also taking part. In addition to the parade itself, district officers carried out inspections of arms stores, the Motor Transport Wing, miscellaneous stores, uniform warehouses, and other departments.
IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar stated that the general parade aims to keep personnel alert and maintain discipline, unity, and camaraderie among them. He underscored that the parade is a demonstration of discipline within the force and helps maintain the fitness of officers and personnel.
Dr. Anwar emphasized that the parade is a reflection of the history, heritage, and tradition of the police force, reinforcing the standards expected of law enforcement personnel across the province.
