Synoptic Situation
A westerly wave is affecting Balochistan and central parts of the country and likely to continue over upper parts during next few days.
Thursday
More rain/snow over hills is expected at scattered places in Balochistan, while light rain is also likely at a few places in south Punjab and upper Sindh. Rain-thunderstorm with snow over hills is expected in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan and north Punjab.
Friday
Rain-thunderstorm with snow over hills is expected at isolated places in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan and upper/central Punjab. While, more rain/snow over hills is expected at scattered places in northern Balochistan.
Past 24 Hour Weather
Very cold and dry weather prevailed over most parts of country. However, rain/snow over hills occurred at isolated places in Balochistan, while light rain/drizzle occurred in south/central Punjab and upper Sindh.
Rainfall (mm): Balochistan: Gwadar 25, Jiwani 21, Kalat 15, Quetta (Samungli 13, Sheikh Manda 10), Zhob and Punjgur 05.
Today’s Recorded Lowest Minimum Temperature’s (°C): Astore, Leh, Skardu -12, Kalam, -10, Gupis -09, Bagrote -07, Malam Jabba -06, Ziarat, Parachinar, Dir -05 and Saidu Sharif -04.
