Synoptic Situation

A shallow westerly wave is present over upper parts of the country. Moist currents from Arabian sea are penetrating southern parts of the country.

Wednesday

Mainly very hot and dry weather is expected in most plain areas of the country, while gusty/dust raising winds in south Punjab and upper Sindh. However, rain-wind/thunderstorm is likely in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad, Pothohar region, Gilgit Baltistan, Kashmir and adjoining hilly areas during evening/night.

Thursday

Partly cloudy weather with rain-wind/thunderstorm is expected in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, upper Punjab, Islamabad, Pothohar region, Gilgit Baltistan and Kashmir. However, very hot and dry weather is likely in plain areas of the country, while gusty/dust raising winds in south Punjab and upper Sindh.
