Synoptic Situation
A shallow westerly wave is present over upper parts of the country. Moist currents from Arabian sea are penetrating southern parts of the country.
Tuesday
Mainly very hot and dry weather is expected in most plain areas of the country, while gusty/dust raising winds are likely in south Punjab and upper Sindh. Rain-wind/thunderstorm is expected in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan during evening/night.
Wednesday
Mainly very hot and dry weather is expected in most plain areas of the country. Gusty/dust raising winds are expected in south Punjab and upper Sindh with rain-wind/thunderstorm in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, south Punjab, Gilgit Baltistan, Pothohar region, Kashmir and adjoining hilly areas during evening/night.
Past 24-Hour Weather
Weather remained hot and dry in most parts of the country. However, rain-wind/thunderstorm occurred at isolated places in south Punjab, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit Baltistan, Kashmir and Barkhan.
Rainfall (mm): Punjab: D.G. Khan (Fort Munro 14), Kashmir: Muzaffarabad (Airport 01), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: Kalam 08, Dir, Parachinar 03, Kakul 01 and Balochistan: Barkhan 04.
Yesterday’s Highest Maximum Temperature’s (°C): Sibbi, Mandi Bahauddin 46, Dadu, Bhakkar, Jhelum and Gujrat 45.
